TFI Local Link Waterford Governance Statement
Demonstrating good governance is part of being an open and transparent organisation and supports accountability in the use of public funds and contributes to the provision of public services in an efficient manner.
The road to good governance requires that we continually review our systems, policies and procedures and identify what is working well and what needs improvement. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of our governance arrangements is an ongoing process and we seek professional external advice as and when required.
The board of TFI Local Link Waterford is cognisant of the fact that it is unlikely that everything will be “fit for purpose”; that new risks emerge, expectations increase, and systems and controls change. In that respect, we continue to reflect on the governance in place, our decision-making processes and the processes by which our decisions are implemented.
